The journey begins - Elos 120 XL

Little work done today, painted the closet where my sump will be and drilled holes for plumbing . Also painted all the wood and stand with couple coats of Minwax Ultimate floor finishing. This should take good care of my wood.

Yeah, I am happy about it Nino, it is very easy to reach into the sump, clean it or any other work. The shelf is on my chest level, it will be easy to observe my qt fish. All electrical equipment will be installed in cabinet under the tank, so no unnecessary wires around sump. I want to keep it clean and easy to work around it.

Atleast your wife left you put your sump in the closet. I'm going to try this when i upgrade again. I have the most least understanding wife this hobby has seen

you have some mad wood skillz Mark.....
will you be addressing the exposed foam on the sides of the tank?....
perhaps inserting wood or stone in the recess along the sides of the tank or are you just leaving as is?

Very good eye ! It will be finished, not sure if i want wood, maybe tile or something else.

cool.....I noticed your Asian inspired artwork and the natural materials you have chosen for this room and the first thing that came to mind was the use of natural cork....
I'm not certain on how it would hold up with regards to the saltwater environment but just thought it played in nicely with your decor theme...maybe something to think about?
