The others will have to wait until I can get a better picture of them.

I can't find it on BRS, what do they call it?

Ha... you are right... I was wrong... I bought it from Premium Aquatics... "Large Rock Mag" http://premiumaquatics.com/aquatic-supplies/AMAG-RLG.html

It holds well on the wall of the acrylic. I think max dimension is 5/8" thickness. I may get another one.... or may also get the round frag mags...

I think anything that helps fill in the walls of the tank with corals is pretty cool.

sweet tank coming along great i have the same bio pellet reactor it works great had to play catch up with this thread love the toys leds look great good spread on that tank good job

Hey Cubbies - My plan is to be SPS Dominant. That said... until things start to mature... I think it will be a mix... Also, since the depth of the tank is 30"....even with the LEDs... I may have some LPS and Softies in the lower 1/4 of the tank.

One of my thoughts is to get a series of the ceramic squares and creating some zoa garden patches on the bottom. I have seen some really nice examples... and thought that would look really cool. With the amount of flow and lighting down there...it might work.

Hey Dan, the Favia on the combo is a (red) war coral, one of my favs! I have a frag of that from MCF, I also have/had the green version, but it came unglued and fell into the rockwork! :( however, it tore away from the rock and left 3 eyes, and those stull have a feeding response, so hoping it grows.

It has been a couple of weeks so I thought I would post an update with some pictures.

I am still ramping up my Apollo Dimmable LEDs. I wanted to take things slow as not to burn anything up. I am at about 100% on the Blues and 80% on the Whites. I am noticing some pretty nice growth on some of the coral already. I wish I was a capable photographer...as my pictures just do not do justice to what I am seeing.

I have moved a couple of pieces from my other aquarium to this one. My hope was to give them better lighting that what I have set up in the other tank. My suspision is that these pieces were doing ok.... but not really thriving.

Chalice Frag (Not sure the name... I have had it for a while. Started with one eye)

I mounted the Chalice on the wall frag ledge I got from Premium Aquatics. I like that it is magnetic... I can move it lower in the tank initially and then slowly move it up as the corals acclimate.

Here is a couple of pictures of other corals that have been in for a few weeks.

Red Planet. Thanks George! It is looking good in my tank and seems to be doing well.

Lime Stag and I think the one on the right was a Water Melon... I forgot... :banghead:

This is some misc coral that I basically acquired from various sources. Each of these suffered under the old lighting in my other tank. They are now starting to look better and to color up...and showing some new growth...
Top - Red Digi, Left Pink Mili, Center (I do not remember though I almost threw it away. I thought it was a goner. The last week it has started to color up with a green body and a darker yellow polyps), and right another unknown acro with purple tips.

My water parameters are all great. 0 Nitrate, 0 Phosphate, KH at 8, PH at 8.3 and Ca at 420.

I still have only the two small clowns....not sure if they really are onyx or not. Looking like just straight percs. I still like them.... They are loving the tank all to themselves and then snails, crabs and shrimp. I think it is time to acquire some new fish. More to come!

Dan, you better have a lot of room around that red planet, looks like your gonna need it! I told you that piece was ready to explode!

One thing I have right now is a lot of room! I am loving the color it has. I also had just placed it up on that rock...no glue. The thing has already adhered itself to the rock.

Below is an updated FTS from last night. I have added a couple of Green Chromis and a Fire Fish and some birds nest frags that I got from Fishbeard! I trimmed them up and mounted them to some nice rock chunks. Once grown out they will be on the market to help fund my addiction.

Today's challenge is to make a mesh top to try to keep carpet surfers in the tank and backstroking cats out! I want to get a wrasse and some anthias...a It should be interesting as the tank is a bow front... I am going to use an aluminum screen frame kit and some plastic shoe mold trim. Who knows.... we will see. Hopefully the Aluminum won't be an issue.

Also, I finally got my break out box for the Apex so I can now set up and ATO. The manual top off method is a PIA! Hopefully it is not to crazy to set up and program.
