Tin, how big are these? I know nothing about chalices, so I don't know how big a mouth is etc. are these this size of a quarter, a silver dollar?

Well they are all different sizes ..

For example this is flaming bugatti is 1.25 inches in dia .. They grow faster if they are taken better care, which i was not able to recently :(

Lost little bigger than quarter sized atom bomb chalice right next to this atom bomb like over night, they are literally like 2 inches apart one was fine and one was gone ..

This is wwc jelly bean the smallest of all at about little smaller than dime size :)

I cut them to get the good pattern and then let them grow, often ending up with multiples of the same so to speak being safe ..

Oh and intresting fact is the size of the mouth depends on the food we feed them :) bigger food bigger mouth and viceversa .. Soo adaptive arent they ? And also if we place the food some where else other than the mouth it would slowly move it to the mouth but if we do that often there will be a new mouth formed there :)

i think i finally found my medium about everything about the tank ..

here are the changes i did :) i know lot of changes but i was testing alk, nitrates and phos like 4 times a day ..:cray:

1. Took off the algae scrubber
2. leave the light on sump 24/7
3. skimming dry ('er)
4. changed the dosing pump (calc to alk and viceversa .. not sure if there is a problem with one of the two pumps will figure it out this weekend and brs will replace if problematic) alks been super stable at 7.1 for the last week or so .. decreasing about 0.05 dkh a day which i plan on making up manually once every 10 days or so

5. Feeding like one cube of frozen food every 36 hours ( like one day before i get off to work and next day evening ..) This is causing my nitrates to 3 ppm and phos close to 0.1 ( immediately after feeding) and in 36 hours they are both back to undetectable) and every thing seems to be happy.

6. oh and added a small fan over the sump .. my temp has been fluctuating 80-82 (set at 80) as my windows are west facing .. didnt think its a major concern but now that i added the fan temp been stable at 79.5 (changed set temp to 79.5)
added a few hot headed sticks

Matt V rainbow Envy
RMF Phsychoberry
Reef raft Pretty in pink
Reef raft Orange passion (sticks are little brown right now but should pick up color soon hopefully)

thanks hung coral reeftank

now the only real problem is lack of space :D
