Vaping lounge! (if you vape, lets here what you have)

Thanks Dom! Not sure I can make it saturday but I will try. I will let you know.

I know what Vaping is but I am not 100% clear on the different components of the systems and everything. I did learn a ton from this thread.

I know there is a battery, a tank, juice, etc... The liquids and the overall concept. It won't hurt to join the workshop to be honest. I might call them and sign up. Just have to see if I can make it first.

basics of ecigs

equipment
battery/mod
atomizer
e juice
e juice holding contained

Batteries/mods
most ecig batteries are put in a case that will not allow the battery to be removed which is attached to a fire button and then threaded to accept holding containers
this sucks if you only have one battery and it dies.

mods essentially are larger e cigs that USUALLY allow for Lion batteries to be replaced.
this allows you to swap a dead battery for a charged battery and continue to use the same device.

atomizers
atomizer contains a wick and a coil to pull in e juice and vaporize it.

There are many types of atomozers out there.

e juice

There are MANY flavors out there from a normal cig to cotton candy to Belgium waffles.

e juice is usually made with a mixture of PG and VG (sometimes only one or the other) nicotine, water and flavoring

For more info on e liquid here is a good read http://vaperanks.com/propylene-glycol-vs-vegetable-glycerin-e-liquid-whats-the-difference/

E juice holding containers
Now there are a lot of different holding containers. I used holding containers because tanks are just one type of container.

there are cartomizers, carto tanks, clearomizer, and much more.

Michael, go to some vaping stores try some juices and some vaping modes, you will see the good, bad and ugly then decide which one you like.

he will when he goes to the intermediate class! lol I gave him the quick basics so he can understand most of the intermediate class lol

Hahaha!

The class last week was a bit of a snoozer. Even my buddy who was with me knew most of what was discussed, and he barely vapes.

I'm more than likely going to take the advanced, rebuilding course. It's $20 but you walk out with a rebuild-able dripping atomizer.

i'm in for that one! when is it?

Ok guys, I'm looking to get a new, quality vaporizer, and I have read through this more than once , plus additional research, lol. I'm still a little over whelmed with all the options and most importantly, the quality of some of the vapes that are out there. I do not have a local place to go and ask questions, so I guess I will just bother my favorite group of people around ;)

Steve, you posted a cool 30 minute video which showed me quite a bit. I want something similar to what that guy is using, right after he takes his hangover Excedrin! I was interested in the Zmax by Sigilei, but I want a tank like that guy uses, kind of short and fat tank. Also I "think" I want to have a few of the larger batteries, I "think" they are 18650's? Since I am going to be ordering this online, can you tell me exactly what I need to order so I do not have to order additional stuff the day my stuff arrives :) I would love to be able to buy a kit and not have to build or mod anything (yet), but if I have to buy a few pieces to build it, that would be fine.

Sorry for all the questions and requests, but I know you guys can help me out!! Thanks in advance!! Also, I want to order custom blended juices and did a little research and think I want to try http://highbrowvapor.com/ , as many folks seem to say they have very good liquids. Any comments / recommendations there?

First and foremost, I don't know where "the creek" is (your location on your profile). I may be able to point you in the direction to the closest store.

Before you but juices online I highly recommend going to a local store, trying the flavors they have and getting one you know you like. The last thing you want to happen is you buy juice, don't like it and are forced to go back to cigarettes.

Secondly since you want to go with non rebuild able atomizers I would suggest the sigeli zmax. I have the zmax v5 which has a couple additional non needed features over the v3.

As for batteries it is telescoping so you can use a few different batteries including the 18650's which I personally like the best because it will actually last me all day.

Then on batteries, only use IMR batteries. I personally like the Panasonic batteries which can be ordered on amazon for cheap!

When it comes to tanks I would suggest the pro tank 2 or the iclear 16 or 30.

The pro tank 2 is a very consistent vape and solid.

I personally like the iclears because they are dual coils and (to me) have a better hit and flavor. But the tank itself will fall apart eventually. Previous iclears have last me 2-3 months.

Thanks Steve, I recently moved to Battle Creek, MI and am no longer in Chicago, I did some research and most of the smoke shops around here only have the small "ego" type e-cigs, which I currently use and detest. No worries on the traditional smoking, I quit 6 years ago and have zero aspirations to start that back up ;) I recently talked my wife into one of the ego cigs and she has been tobacco free for a month, my Dad is also interested in getting one, who has been a smoker his entire life, plus I got my brother one and he is slowly getting into it. (hoping he quits tobacco as well)

I enjoy menthol and have been using what the local store sells, it is "Freedom" brand. It has a pretty smooth flavor and resembles a Marlboro Light Menthol (which I smoked for years). I tried other brand menthol and it tasted like vicks vapor rub...was terrible. Doing some research, apparently highbrow will tailor the flavor, PG/VG mix and nicotine content, so I wanted to try it. Was just curious if anyone has used their juice before. My wife likes the fruity flavors, me not so much (yet)

I will take your advice and go with the Zmax and look up these tanks, thank you for your help!

No problem,

I personally have not ordered from them so I can't comment.

You can't go wrong with the zmax or either of those tanks. Try to order just the mod itself. The kits that come with a charger and battery are crap batteries and chargers.
