Who likes to shoot and where

Sweet piece...yeah, it's probably designed like the Glock brand, as far as not having a safety.

Nope, it definitely doesn't have any safety features the glock has. No firing pin shield when half-c0cked, no indicator detent pin. Just a simple thumb lever to drop the hammer back to a double action firing position. I never fully trusted using the feature, but it did work correctly every time.

Yeah, you'd definitely have to be careful having that firearm...especially when you have kids.

Another good reason it's no longer in my possession... My boy just turned 2, and we have #2 due end of October. Just not worth the risk.

Yep, all I have is one now, I used to have 3 handguns and a mossberg shotgun. I've gotten rid of the other handguns, and let my grandmother keep the shotgun for home protection, since (she) chicago residents can't keep handguns.

Grandma with a shotgun = win lol

anybody know price for foid card?????

No price on foid you just have to fill app out and go through background check. But just like I tell everyone that asks about applying for it and going out to buy a gun just because they think it's cool take a safety class. Cabelas and bass pro shops offer them some ranges offer private one on one which I think is best. Don't buy any firearm without knowing how to operate it!!!!! I took my safety class when I was 9 years old and I'm 23 now. I took it so I could go hunting :-) now I just hunt with bow because price of ammo and I just needed a challenge.

**** bro, you ain't playing :) ...you got some serious "big boy" toys. I agree with you, I'd rather carry high capacity, but my dept only allow us to carry .45
Do cpd allow their officers to carry other than 9mm's now, that's all they were allowed back in the day, other than revolvers?

Yeah I've had 3 people on my team shot so I don't play.

And yeah 9mm, 40 or 45.. But last year they changed it to only glocks.

Oh and .380's for backup or off duty. If u had sig, s&w, ruger before. Ur grandfather in. Just new recruits can only get glocks

"Yeah, Illinois/chicago has the worst laws, which is probably why we have the highest crime rate per capita. "

God i love how every cops get how this works....

I once read some were that gun laws and tax rates follow the same curve in most area's in the US. Makes me think they dont want the overtaxed masses to get any bright idea's

Sorry \rant over

If you go down the street to sporting arms and supply they charge 20 and take your pic and do everything

Great thread...IL sux for alot of other reasons too. but the FOID card is outright unconstitutional. There's my rant. If you're looking for a cool place to shoot, Buffalo Range out in Ottawa is open again after their nightmare with lawsuit BS. Or you can move to Missouri and go to one of the State owned ranges that just about every county has - that are free.

So other states don't require foid?????????

Nope. But there are concealed carry licenses and what not. IL toughest on gun laws which only human beings follow. The animals do whatever they want.

I carry a Ruger P90 .45 cal...it hasn't failed me yet. :)

I just got a 40 cal ruger p94

NO IL is the only one with foid. I have my conceal and carry card out of utah and that allows me to carry in all surrounding states but IL
