Not sure what's going on with the 93. Think the flame angel has got a taste for polyps because all sps and acans are closed. One sps is dying from the tips and part of the base and the scroll color is faded and it's sliming.

Went a little crazy this morning. The 30 is barebottom now. I did a 10 gallon waterchange. I changed out my carbon and gfo

There must me something in the air today, because I got pissed at my sand this morning and I'm seriously considering removing it all.

Everybody always bashes bare bottom, but man, sand sucks sometimes...

Have you tested everything? Find out what's up? That dying coral is not good.

This doesn't sound good. I'd be working hard to get to the bottom of it. Is sounds like it's not just a problem with the one coral if all of your corals look pissed. And given the PE you usually have, something seems off with your tank and not just one coral. Get those test kits out!
 
But the 30 is perfect. Polyp extension is great colors keep getting better. I think it's just the flame angel picking at the coral. It only happened after it was added and nothing has happened to the 30 and it's been a month
 
Sorry to hear this is going on. Check ur calcium reactor. The tips might be cuz alk burn. But the base is something u will have to look into. Usually rtn starts from the top down. Will from what I've seen. I could b wrong. I've read that melafix is a nicer dip for acros under stress. James at new fish told me about that. He dips with that dip.
 
I really think it's the flame angel picking at it. There's polyp extension at night when the flame is sleeping. [MENTION=2309]enzo1028[/MENTION] had the same issue with one of his fish killing off his sps by eating at them. I knew it was a risk but it's the wife's favorite fish so I had to try. Besides I got that piece from my local supplier [MENTION=2509]rockhead[/MENTION]
