Anarchy...the water lvl looks kinda low for the skimmer? Maybe its just the pics.

Well time to wash the old RO in case the new one works out for you....
Dry goods 4sale :D

Hows the air intake blowing sound? EDIT+ the air line attached to the air intake....out of the cabinet? Or to an air pump??? I have a spare air pump and this got my brain working.
Is the recirc drain above water lvl? Hard to tell in the photo...hope its not making the water pouring noise.

Water level is 8". Prime level for this skimmer is 8-9.5"

The air intake hose is ran out the back of the stand

The exit pipe is half in half out of the water. The noise isnt terrible

Got bored and broke out the dry rock stockpile. Tonga is holding everything up so nothing gets stuck around the rocks. I want to add a multi branch tonga arch between the 2 islands and the big tower from the 93

Thats nice...
I might pull out all my rock this summer and do that plan and scape thing you guys do.
Looks real good anarchy.
Thanks im just planning every aspect of my 180. Every tank ive had has been planned and setup basically on the fly and i always end up finding things i hate so for this upgrade id like to have it set up for many years and just watch it grow. I probably wont even be settibg this tank up for another year or 2 just because of the equipment planned and the prices lol

Now that ive gone bare bottom i can see where everything collects. Looks like i need to add another rw4 to the mix and it took away all my surface agitation also so maybe ill throw a rw8 at it

Not sure you can completely eliminate detritus with flow? It has to go somewhere. If you can get it into the water column, do you plan to catch it with socks? Or do you just prefer it in your sump? I find it harder to get detritus out of my sump than my DT.

Id rather have it in the sump because it piles up in the dt and i never do waterchanges so it starts looking bad. Once the sump looks bad then i give it a good cleaning

Here's a trick to get rid of it easily: start a siphon with some tubing that goes from your DT down into your filter sock. That way you can suck up all the detritus in your DT in just a few minutes without removing a drop of water. When you're done just change the sock.

Tank looks great bare bottom BTW -- nice and clean!

Get home from the shooting range to find my pump off yesterday. The power supply wasnt working and i didnt feel like messing with it so i just used my rw15 power supply. Got some time today to mess with it and pull the dc12000 power supply out from behind the stand and heres what i find. I already cleaned off the black tar like stuff to expose the hole before i took the picture
