BigBarnacle's big Nuvo 8 build.

ok i just got one of these and i love yours what will you be doing for a skimmer? are you going to run carbon or gfo fuge anything?

Thanks. Planning on keeping it simple. No skimmer since only two or three little fish and I do weekly water changes. No plans for carbon or GFO since part of three step filter already with phos and carbon sponges.
 
little tanks just need water changes and flow they can get cluttered really fast and not look natural with all the pumps wires returns and plastic stuff
 
I set it up last night. I'm loving it already. Mine didn't come with the sponges just the holder which I live. It flows down through it and its so cool. So what other mods have u done

Did you get the Nuvo? Mine came with the filter sponges. I thought they all did. As far as mods go...just the light man.
 
It was lightly used. I bought new sponges at lfs today. I added a mp10 and got the same heater u did. I'm getting excited! Haha
 
New yellow clown goby. Also picked up a cool paly at AP (far right). Most zoas/palys closed because the skunk cleaner was crawling around on them. The "hole queen" firefish is hiding from the new guy. The little tiger goby was on the back of the rocks.

Urs looks a lot bigger then mine. The mp was way too much. I'm putting it up for sell tomorrow. The nuvo is pretty cool though.
