but as far as this cookout goes, is there a lead person on this site that can take charge of this idea and try setting it up? i vote at a lfs or even someones house that is near a lfs to make a quick trip there then back for games and stuff

i say if not alot of people are interested we still get this going. i went to steves house and his back yard is freakin the size of a football field. its on the south side and i know alot of people wont want to come out but i know theres quite a few southsiders here and i say we make it happen and we wont call it a CR cookout either so we dont get in trouble. well just call it a get together for fellow reefers. so for those of us on the south side and whoever else is truly interested. lets get cookin. let us know if your interested or if we should start a thread with a different name.
 
hey is it adult only or no cause im 16 and my dad and i would like to come and mabey cook for evryone if its alright. where and when would it be please

i think it should be an all ages event no reason to make it an adult thing only.


on to business. first of all we need a date. whats best for everyone? friday night saturday night sunday night???? you guys want to get this done this month or next? does everyone want to do this at skunkers house? i know he is far from alot of people but no matter who hosts the event it will be a drive. we know people will still complain about driving.
 
I'd like family involved. Many of us probly have kids, I assume, and it'd be nice to let them play while we get to know each other. Mine are 10 months and 3 year old. I prefer either Saturday or Sunday. I work midnights and Friday wouldnt be cool. And I've been working more Saturdays lately so Sunday would be nice cause I don't work Sunday night but it's not based on me or anyone person. That's just my short info.

As far as driving I guess up to an hr drive or less is cool. Where is the proposed location in relation to Hammond?

If we do have it at RCAs, we might be able to cut a deal with the hot dog place next to them, they seem pretty cool and laid back
 
how would a saturday evening work. mabey the 25 of august. its not to hot and not to cold plus hopfully enough time so everybody can plan accoringly
 
I could easily fit a jumpy castle in the backyard and a volleyball net and some horseshoes and some beanbags or "cornhole" as its called and still fit

a bunch of people. I am only 5 min away from hog wild too. and here are distances to the local pet stores from my house, in case this is going to

start off as a day thing. Plus the yard is fenced in so the little ones can't escape.

Animal Krackers 5.5 miles Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. good

Aquatica 5.9 miles Saturday - Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. best but expensive

Chicago Aquatics/Chicago Reptile House 6.3 miles Saturday 10a.m to 6 p.m. Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. better

Rob's 7.4 miles Saturday - Sunday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. better

Reef City 12.9 miles Saturday - Sunday 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. best Mark and his wife are great people and great prices

But if every one would rather have it a Reef City I'm game for that too. Just thought I would offer up my place.
