Cornbred Frag Grow Out

Im working today. Will update tomorrow. I dont think these chalices are growing fast enough to my liking in my tank. Rich, do u want to try putting them in yours?
 
I would love to see these guys in my tank :) Unfortunately, I am more than likely going to make a move out to San Francisco at the end of the year. They probably aren't growing as slow as you think though. I've had a few more eyes pop out on my piece of Rainbow Crush, but it hasn't grown in size.

Cutting them in two might not be a bad idea. You double to the growth ring and get a full rim on multiple pieces. The BPC is a little touchier from what I understand so that might be something we let remain intact.

Probably a group decision though.

Sometimes fragging helps growth too. The rainbow crush I grabbed gained another eye very quickly.. Seems like fast grower... What happened to Ariel and the other guy? They haven't been active in a while...
 
I defer to the group. I could also still take one or two to see if anything different happens, but I know that Nino is taking excellent care of them. If you guys want to cut them to spurr growth, I support that as well.
 
Good news bad new guys. I lost one of our freebies, the crazy clown. this really bums me out because it was one of my favorites for my taste. I will be buying more stuff from Rich Negret in the near future and will either ask to buy it, or ask for it as a freebie again, so I can get that back to you guys. Or I have other chalices that some of you might have instead, like the Orenji, JF Crazy fox, Pink boobies, Blue boobies and others.
I'm not sure what happened, I check on the corals everyday and it was fine yesterday, and dead today. I didn't think LPS can RTN like that. All the other corals looks fine.

Now for the good news
This guy has about 5 eyes and now I see greenish colors on it and a bluish streak, so it is growing up to be a nice multicolored colony. Remember it just looked like a red chalice with yellow eyes when we got it.

Sucks about the crazy clown but it happens. I'm curios about that golden eyed chalice now. I didn't think the atom bomb had any color in it. Do you mind sending that pic to rich for ID
 
I haven't really had any chalices die that fast with complete tissue loss. Maybe it got stung or irritated during the night.

There are no other corals close enough to it to sting it, so Im puzzled. I dont have any fish that eats corals and no crabs either.
I will get another one since it has become one of my favorites. We'll have a full frag pack again.
I will send a pic to Negret about that red with yellow eyes
