FishBeard's 180g Wall'o'Tank!

Lol yea stopped by aquatica then robs and found my way to reef city where I finally broke down.and.bought something

Update! Thanks to Chicagophil, I now have a 60" Tek 8x80w over the tank, it's freakin bright! And very white/blue with the current bulbs. Might need to order a couple different bulbs to balance out the color a little, but will do great in the meantime! Thanks Phil!

And as you notice, the tank is nearly full now! Just need to fill the overflows and wet/dry then I can fire this bad boy up!

It is looking good, you are almost there.

Yep, so close now! I just wish ATI would have made a 60" Dimmable model. I LOVE the 24" one I have now. I do need to order the led moonlight kit from RapidLED, and a splash shield for the Tek fixture. Otherwise, it's pretty much just getting a nice sump/fuge and possibly hard plumbing the overflow system at that time. Then the fun part, picking new livestock!

Good to hear that you love the ATI dimmable Sunpower as this it the fixture I got for my tank.I was going to PM you for opinion, but I think I'll be more than ok.What livestock you got in mind this time around?

Not sure, I think I'll get that blonde naso I've always wanted but felt too guilty to add to a 60 cube. You are going to love the Dimmable t5's especially in the evening, it's actually relaxing that it dials down slowly as the sun sets over your tank, I just suggest after the bulbs are broken in, have your early channel rise from on to 100% over several hours in the morning and at least for an hour or two in the evening to really appreciate the dimming feature. Also have your daylight channel dim in and out about an hour at each end of your daylight cycle. If you want to get more creative with the dim features it has, we can talk about it, its a lot to type out!

Wow, that's looking pretty amazing! Can't wait to see more pics! ;) Did you fire it up yet?

Still a couple gallons short in the wet/dry to actually fire up the return pump yet. The pump itself is just short of completely submerged as I type this. Honestly I didn't think it would get this filled up by now, I expected to get the tank itself filled by the end of the night. I want to get the wet/dry just about full before firing up for the first time so I can set my high level mark for topoff.

I was overwhelmed by the sheer size of that tank when I was standing next to it... The pics don't do it justice, Can't wait to see the updates as you progress

Size of the tank? How about size of the skimmer?

And one of it in my amiracle wet/dry until I can get a proper sump/fuge built for the system...

That was yesterday's update I forgot to post up. Today's update is that I managed to whip up a decent aquascape with the first 100# of rock that I had chilling in the tank. The next ~50-60# of rock will go in at the same time I transfer over my livestock in the next day or two. I will get a pic of how far along the tank is once the dust settles from moving around all the rock and disturbing the fresh sandbed.

Nice skimmer...I like the color.. That's really going to pull a lot of skim. This is going to come out really nice. Congrats
