They usually get their fish on Thursday's. They started getting more LPS's. Their prices are pretty good.

Its not a bash on the establishment its the point that their collecting sales tax and pocketing it on your purchases. It flat out illegal for a wholesaler that has a whole sale license to sell retail let alone to tax each purchase.

It is not illegal, it is rather common. Most businesses who do this usually keep two operations separate but there is no law against this. There are almost always two different prices of course.
 
global trouble

I know for sure Global has been reported to both local and state authorities for sales tax and operating a retail store in a business zone. No lfs will shop there so the place is truly retail as long as they can stay open.

funny that this thread is going i was just there on saturday, not my first trip though i heard about it from a fellow reefer friend of mine and on my first visit i bought a huge yellow tang for 30 and 7 huge turbo snails for 10 and they have been super healthy so i went back because the all of the local stores in my area have sold me sick fish after sick fish so i started making the drive toward the city i first was checking out the local guys and there are some nice stores around but after i went to global i was satisfied they people there are great and the prices are too i have only gotten healthy live stock from them but this past saturday i put them to the test and took home a large morish idol, always wanted one and so far so good

lol that was probably my tang i just took it there sat got store credit . i been going there along time. and yes the charge tax now. most my fish come from them and always have good luck. bill cisco and omar r good to me . if the tang was the biggest one there it was mine . he super healthy had him for while just fought with my eels
