Joe's Community build 75g build thread

The red sea kits having been working great for me, though I am sure the Hannas would be better. Some form of dosing is a must with SPS. Sorry about the loss.
 
I'm dosing kalk in my ato. I'm gonna try upping the amount i dose and i'll monitor it. I dont wanna buy a doser lol but if need be then i gotta do what i gotta do
 
Seems as if maybe my STN'ing has stopped. I havn't noticed any SPS turning white more then they already have. I've kept all the STN'd frags in the tank and i randomly see some little PE coming out of places so maybe one day they'll make a come back.

Alk is dropping and calc and mag are remaining the same.

Zoas are doing awesome and mulitplying and all fish are happy.


I'm looking to add some more fish to my tank. Recommendations?

I have a watchman. I'm looking for a little larger fish. Was thinking maybe another tang or a flame angel or possibly another butterfly. Something a colorful.

Yea u need color lol. I might move achillies to 90gal if i can get that atlantic blue tang out. And try to find chocolate tang for reed ever since ive seen the adult colors ive been wanting one :) . Very few people inknow had flames that didjt eat there corals id say 8 out of ten ate coral so becareful

my favorite fish in my 75. most answers are midas blenny, some kind of anthias, or some cool wrasses. which are all cool, ive got some of all those. another one is borb, but nothing beats a fish that just flashes colors whenever he feels, biggest character in my tank as well. they can be pricey and hard to get ahold of but it can be done!
 
Hmm I'll look into it. I was thinking maybe a pbt.

Lyretail anthias
Watchman goby
Kole tang
Clowns
Leopard wrasse
Chalk bass
 
Some updates. Picked up a bunch of new frags and the tank is finally taking off again. Znps are growing like mad and my acros are coloring back up finally after the redbugs and Alk spike.

Scrambled eggs are way better in person. I really need to get a real camera one day lol
 
Man let me know when u want u frags back looks like u tank bounced back good. They r all coloring up good over here now
 
Those acros look like they're about to explode on you, Joe; get ready for some insane growth!

The tank is looking great, and I can't wait to see it in a month or two once everything's been back on track for a while. :)
