Jrpark22000 Nem tank

A very cool new addition! Question for anyone knowing... Would this attack or kill a clown trying to host in the same nem?

Thanks Cody.

Not likely Brian, most likely if the clown is interested in being in the same nem, the clown would pester the crab to the point it would leave to find a less hostile home.

Thanks guys. I like the circles and different patterns on these (Neopetrolisthes ohshimai) more than the normal purple dotted (Neopetrolisthes maculatus)

Big Thanks to Mario Aquatica for having them when I stopped in for frozen food.

Here are the glasshole sound dampers. There are 3 pieces to the modification. Two of them are possibly unnecessary for most glassholes boxes. I've previously modified the box to have over twice as many teeth, adding them to the sides and back. This allows for the water to fall loudly in those areas too. The red PEX are the tools to quiet these areas. They are cut at angles on the top to slow the water on it's fall. They are cut at the bottom to not impede water flow under the boxes baffles. They are 1/2" and 3/8" PEX held together with a acrylic tube as a pin.

The clear acrylic top plate replaces the black flat acrylic plate that comes with the box to cover the baffles. The new one slopes to meet the incoming water from the front teeth, the water sticks to the baffle and flows under the new clear baffle. If for some reason the teeth were to plug up or the water level were to increase the water would also flow over the clear baffle and down the back, which is what the rectangle cut out on the back of the clear baffle is for.

It took several tweaks with a sander/bandsaw to get the length of the clear baffle and red PEX just right for the water to flow like I describe. But now, it can flow to the max the box can handle and it's still very quiet unlike how it was designed.
