mlreef 450 gallon mixed reef build

Uhmmmmmmmm..........WOW! I think that's all I can say at this point.

Thanks Sparky!

I know that it's a lot to take in all at once. I seriously can't wait for some full tank shots and for it to be filled with water. Gus and Brett will be stopping by this weekend to give me a hand drilling and aquascaping my tonga branch. I can't wait to post some more pictures of the progress. I'm thinking that it may be time to start posting some video's as well.

What's the easiest way to post video's? Can I still use photobucket or do I need to use youtube?

Brett is helping us? Pretty cool.

Gus, I'm not sure if you have ever met Brett. He is my sister in-laws boyfriend who is also into reefing, I think I actual turned him on to it. He is a great guy and he is very creative. I'm pretty sure that with the three of us working on this that it will be a totally awesome aquascape.

I would like to thank Gus and his wife for stopping by yesterday and giving me a huge hand drilling the tonga branch. We took out time drilling the rock and everything turned out perfect! I still can't believe that we did not split a single piece. Thanks a million Gus for all of your help!

I will post some pictures of the beautiful tonga branch aquascape in about a week or so.

We had a great time out there mike, the rock turned out totally insane. I'm glad we didn't split anything.

Walt I promise that I will post some pics pretty soon. I need to secure the rock work to some bases next. Once secured I will most definitely take some pictures.

Impressive build!

Do you have a fish list yet?

Thanks! Yes I do have a fish list, but not all of the fish yet.

Here are some more pictures of the actual panels. The panels are made of walnut on the perimeter and cherry on the inside, it should be an awesome combination.

Enjoy.

so is the top part the canopy? they just have it sitting on top for now?

Also, where is this being built? are you doing it at someone's workshop, or is someone building it for you?

You are correct, the top piece is the canopy sitting on top of the stand. It is being built at JC Designs. They are a full blown custom furniture and woodworking shop. They have very reasonable rates as well.

You can email them at jcdwoodwork@gmail.com

I will post some more pictures of the progress this up comming weekend.
