mlreef 450 gallon mixed reef build

What Mike does for huge jugs. :)

Seriously though, awesome way of transporting them home, and I can't wait to see them in use! :D

You are right... what wouldn't I do for huge jugs!

You should have put a big NOS sticker on them and seen the reaction of people as you drive by. lol

I can only imagine what people would be thinking if the vats had a NOS sticker on them.

It reminded me of the Top Gear episode were they crossed the English Channel with the Toyota pick-up with the out board on the back and used the barrels for stability.

Sweet setup! And I really like those vats

They should make simple work of mixing salt and aging it. I'm just excited that I don't really need to measure salt anymore. Just fill with water and pour the entire box in and add the power head and presto 150 gallons of 1.025 SG water just waiting there for me!

It sounds like an infomercial.

those trux are invincible

This is the craziest thing that I have done in a while but my mixing vats are finally here. I drove from Lombard to South Naperville with those two vats on my roof while people were starring at me wondering what in the hell is this guy doing.

I think that they called it the helux. Dude they tried everything to kill that truck and it kept going!

:flute:Nice jugs you got there

Thanks, I think I might have a modeling career with those jugs one day!

You should have put a huge Energizer logo on them.... and you could have said they were the new extended range batteries for your Prius.... :bounce:

Mike
Will you plumb these tanks to your system?

Wow is the room, tank, sump all together already?

I'm keeping the system separate from the other tanks. The large setup will be in my living room and will be approximately 620 gallons. The two smaller basement setups that I have will remain but will both be setup for fragging and QT system.
