mlreef 450 gallon mixed reef build

If you wanna borrow a 4way let me know,i have one i used for about 7months and got tired of it sticking and leaking. I would say find a better alternative, maybe wave boxes or somethin'. Good luck and amazing build. Maybe when it's ready i can come over and meet you with some free frags to get you started?

The only reason it would stick is if there was sand/buildup in it. With the new mag drive version even that won't be as big an issue. These things are built like tanks. If it's cleaned well, it'll be fine.

That would be sweet!

Ben Please put me down for one, I have to give it a try. Has anyone else shown any interest in OM stuff? Also are you a 100% sure that it can handle my 6000 GPH pump?

Not enough to worry about. With PVC cement it can handle a lot of pressure. I've seen 6000gph pumps pushing 1" schedule 40 on forums all over the place with 4-ways all the time.

I'll PM you info for ordering.

this things a beast

A Special Thanks to Bret and Jorge from CR and to my custodians at work and my Uncle for helping me move the aquarium in today. I could not have done it without you guys!

Leak test will be on September the 1st! I need to order all new bulkheads from BRS. I would start this weekend but I have a memorial service to go to on Saturday.

Any Ideas on how long I should leak test for? 24 hours 48 hours a week? Let me know, Thanks!

How did the leak test go??

I thought that I would update everyone that had been following this build on the plumbing progress. After some deep thought, I knew that I should have someone that knows what they are doing give me a hand / do it for me so I don't end up with 600 plus gallons of water flooding my house. With that being said I hired Aquariums Done Wright. The owner Joshua is a great guy that took the time to understand what I wanted to have done and also made some great suggestions on how to approve upon my original ideas. I have nothing but great things to say about Aquariums Done Wright, they took their time did things right the first time and really took the time to satisfy all of my needs. His staff is also top notch. Here are some pictures of the progress that was made today.
