My "Tanked" Tank

WOW! This is an incredible tank, and what a project! Looks like the Xmas party will need to be at your place!

yes it is staying in front of windows. i painted back and will also affix cardboard to back of glass for insulation. Handyman did not tell me i could have bought a tinted window.

You can get window tint from an auto parts store. It's very simple to apply to a flat window and isn't permanent.

Looking forward to seeing this tank come alive!

I sort of hate to ask, but would't it have fit if you lifted it on its front or back? Is the tank taller than a door is wide (I thought it said 21)? Or would that have been too much stress on the tank?
In any case it's in now and congratulations!! I was mesmerized by this whole thread and will definitely be following. I think you need one of the new rays that MCF just got in their lookdown.

One end is 21" yes, but the other end is 42". I keep thinking that some small rays would be cool but I want to put all the fish I have now in there. I thought rays are not reef friendly.

would be pretty sweet but i think you might have some issues if you fill this think with lr might scratch up the rays fill er up already lol

I really love the picture window. I don't think I want to put anything on it. I put white cardboard on the back of the tank and I think I will cover it with wallpaper to make it look pretty through the window.

yes, I keep forgetting about that, so I guess no rays

sure! pm me and we can set something up. I m always looking for advice; I'm not that accomplished in reef keeping yet.

Well mr_z if you go give me a shout I will ride with you because I too would love to see that tank in person also so I can be jealous of its awesomeness. :top:
