Planning a new system- sneak peak

Hi Dominick, by any chance do you know how far the tree arms extend over the tank? Are they at least 12 in.? I emailed CadLights twice but never got any answer from them.

11 7/8". That's the furthest you can extend a light out over the tank.

And I agree with Cadlights customer service. It blows, period.

I needed to replace both of the bulkheads and stuff on my 50 cube, and since they used metric sizes, I wanted to order the bulkheads, and also inquired about the sump. I got nada. Actually spoke to one of the dudes on the phone and he said "email us". Right....I laughed and just said okay.

Let me know if you need any other measurements of the light trees. I don't mind measuring for you. I'm sure if you just added them to your cart they would surely ship them out lol!

Thank you, I appreciate it. :)

Finally received my light brackets form CadLight, I am very happy with the look.

I usually don't pay too much attention to a glass box setup unless it is filled with corals & fish. But your setup is something else. Very clean & very inspiring. Nice skill! Looks beautiful.

Thank you, I take my time and want this set up look good ,because design and visual appeal is very important to me. Once is all set up right ,I will concentrate on the tank itself and final position of rock, with vision for future coral placement and growth ,and finally right selection of fish to complete the whole look. It is a slow process, but I am being patient this time to get it right first time. :)

Mark, your patience is really inspiring. The result is going to be a magnificent tank. I can't wait to see it filled! It's gorgeous so far.

Thank you, all I need to do is organize my cabinet inside, get all electrical working, install my return pump and it should be ready for water. I want to make sure I got everything done , so once is filled , I don't have to empty it if I need to move it for some reason. I think by next weekend will be filled. On the other note , I am planning to cycle it with Dr.Tim's one and only, I have heard good feedback on it. Anybody here used this product? Is it as good as advertised? Thanks for any info in this.

Whats all the black circles under it
I was wondering about those black circles also.

Haha, I was not sure, it is silicone between glass panels. Elos bottom is made out of two glass panels for extra strength.
I guess if you dropped something into the tank and cracked the glass the second bottom might stop it from leaking??

You need a Mirror Ball for your light show!! ;-))

I like your blue background. What did you use?

Yes, the double bottom is for safety, I guess if I cracked the top panel, bottom one would hold. For blue background I used blue vinyl wrap from 3M bought on EBay.

Not too much progress today, spent most of the day with my family, but I made a screen top. I made it kind of floating, sits inside the tank and IMO doesn't take away from the rimless look. Lmk what you think. Also decided on my final aquascape. Next weekend ....water in :)

Mark your scape is sweet! Very minimalistic, which I'm favoring now over the rock wall, or fruit basket look!

Those little acrylic tabs are a great idea as well. I wasn't sure how to go about it with my tank so I just made it large enough to sit on the rim of the glass.

Awesome job so far bro!
