Sawdonkey's 220 Thread

Thanks. Yes, I have been on pellets for over two years. I wouldn't do it any other way, at least with a tank with big fish like mine. I run about 1/3 of the recommended amount.

Absolutely agree, I run about 1/3 of the recommended amount of biopellets and wouldn't run my any other way. I'm considering following in your footsteps and totally removing my chaeto in favor of gfo. Not because chaeto isn't doing the job well, but because it's messy and I have so much coral in my "fuge" now that there's not much room for chaeto!

MYSTERY ACRO! I was working on my tank yesterday an noticed some color popping out of a crevice. I look closer, and it is a tiny acro growing. I have no idea what it is, but it must be something left over from more than 1.5 years ago when I cleaned all of the acros out of my tank to get rid of AEFW. I must have missed a tiny spec of acro? It obviously wasn't enough to support AEFW life, but somehow it lived. It's really colorful with bright pink and green. I'm going to let it grow, but then I'll have to cut it and move it because it is not growing in a good spot.

Maybe not right space but seems happy

In know, right! I can't remember anything that I use to have that looked like this, so I'm curious to see what it grows into. However, I have a terrible memory. Really bright pink tips so far.

Nah, it's a bright purple-ish pink with fluorescent green in the body. Pink lemonade in my than is just a pale yellow with pink polyps. Different structure too.

Got ya ill tell u what corals r amazing my tank been running for ever and colors on corals r changing again can't reconize most i need more room

Did a major cleaning last night. So much cleaning that I have a bit of a hangover today. I moved a few corals that have been dormant to see if I can get them to take off. Glued in a few pieces of dry rock to make room for a few corals and to give others better placement. I moved my Shades of Fall colony down because it was getting big and shading my Blue Matrix.

On to the Pics:

My Vivid's Rainbow Delight has really taken off lately and the colors are looking really good!

My PC Rainbow is growing nicely. It's pretty low in my tank so I hope it holds more of the color like this. Often when i see it, it is mostly just red and white:

BC Xmas Acro. This thing has encrusted for nearly one year without growing a branch. I see some signs though. Love the color:

JF Bonsai. I lost most of this colony a couple of months ago when my nitrates got up to 25. I clipped the colony and threw it away. This is what was left and its making a comeback:
