You're still using the OR fixtures right?

Yes, four over the display and one over my sump. I can't really see a reason to switch any time soon. Even when these break, they are easy to fix and OR customer service is really good about sending parts for crazy cheap.

Ya I had one over my 25 cube and loved it. I bought an Elos Planet II (2x250 w + 4x54w T5s), but man does it put out a ton of heat. I'm debating just picking up 2 more ORs and going LEDs. These fixtures are pretty good for the price. My acros colored up some kind of crazy in my old setup.

They can provide some intense light and what makes them better than a traditional black box is that the diodes are more spread out so you don't have the light coming from a concentrated area. I think this helps with the typical LED shading problem too

I agree completely my acros liked the OR way more than the Kessil. Well looks like I've made up my mind! They certainly are working wonders on your setup!

Here are some less macro shots. Struggling to get the colors correct between my LEDs, my average-at-best camera, my crappy photo skills, and my even crappier post processing skills.

Wow, this tank is a masterpiece. Hopefully I can buy some nice frags from you in an upcoming for sale post. Keep up the good work!

I got home from vacation tonight to find my tank in fine shape, but my RMF Psycoberry is just straight up missing. The rock it was glued to is even gone. One of my triggers must have relocated it. I have seriously searched my whole tank and it is nowhere to be found. I'm sure I'll find it some day and it will be dead.

so did you finally find it or its gone ?

Never found it, not even a dead body. A few weeks later, I lost my Reef Raft Limitless in the same fashion. However, i did find that one dead a few weeks later. Sucks to loose two of my most high-end pieces. Gotta focus on what ya got, not what ya lost i guess.

Thanks for bringing it up. Salt --------> wound.

Sorry buddy :( didnt mean to remind you of the wounds ..

i just got a piece and was looking for your pics but didnt find so went looking back your thread ...haha looks like i have too much time on my hands today

PS: suggestion ... -- if they are mounted wiht that coraffix glue .. they are never safe until they encrust .. which is why i use glue-epoxy-glue sandwish ...

with just glue even snails can bulldoze them ..

Can you link me to these fixtures? I am curious to learn more about them.

I decided to get a T-247B. I am really worried about nuisance algae at higher intensities, but the corals really need it. If Spartanman was running 30% on his 18" cube, I will probably have to start with less on my biocube 14.

What is your ratio between Ch1 and Ch2? I can probably use less blue since my tank isn't deep. Though yours seems just right.

90% blue 55% white. However, I have changed out lots of LEDs, so my lights are very different from stock. The nuggets change is that I swapped a lot of cool whites with warm whites.
