Your tank is amazing. Hopefully one day my tank will grow up to be like yours haha

Amazing color gunner :)

What piece is that ??

Is that Procoral rainbow acro ?

I bought it from luchie back in January. It lost all color when I put it in my tank but it's been coloring up ever since. He called it a red stag and said he drove to Michigan to get it. Probably my favorite in my tank.

Here's a few more. You'd laugh if you saw the top down rig I made. I used drywall hole cutter to cut a round piece of acrylic. Then I cut the bottom off of a plastic cup and glued the circle of acrylic in.

Encroaching monti. This acro is nearly surrounded, but it is obviously more powerful than the monti:

Looks great man! If your feeling dangerous, you can grab a magnifying glass from the hardware store (usually about $1) and take some insane looking "macro" close up shots. I've been meaning to make another one of those.

Edit: you would use the magnifying glass in place of the acrylic window.

I have 1x, 2x, 4x, and 10x filters for my camera. They don't fit right , so I only used the 4x on the pics above and didn't even zoom in. I actually have bigger ones for a dslr if you want them. The work well, but I have a micro 4/3 camera. I think they only cost me $13 on amazon. So I have two sets, one that's too big, and one that's too small.

Amazing coloration gunner. ..
With those awesome fish and sps growing this way .. I'm sure your tank would soon be the envy of many :)

I can't wait for my PC rainbow to start coloring up some more, right now its got a lot of green coming in, some brown, and some orange. From what I understand it's one of those corals that doesn't really color up until its fully encrusted and growing branches (like yours).

I made my second top down viewer today and threw away the other one. Total cost: $0......all just stuff I had laying around:

And then I put it to use (no post process):

I've read that Vivid's Rainbow Delight is hard to color up......I disagree:

Green Slimer is very common, but I really like it:

Another pic of the red stag, but closer up:

I got this off Ebay for about $10. It was an ugly green for a long time, but it's turning into something cool:

I put my RR Ghostbusters under a crossbar and it lost its light purple and orange. It's now getting blasted by my LEDs. Hoping it colors back up:

amazing as usual :bored:
whats the viewer made out of ? pvc and acrylic ?

It's just 5" PVC and acrylic. I just scored the acrylic in a circle and broke it with pliers. Then sanded the edges and superglued it to the PVC.

what camera and lenses are you using Gunner?

I use a Panasonic Lumix GF3. Its a micro 4/3 camera (smaller than a DSLR, but bigger than a point and shoot and has all the functionality of a DSLR and interchangeable lenses). For all non-macro shots, I use a 14mm pancake lens (no zoom).

For the macro shots, I use a 45-150m telephoto zoom lens. However, with the zoom lens, I have to use the macro filters because the focal length of that lens is way too long. For the macro shots above, I used a 4X and a 10X filter. For objects in the back of my tank, I use the 1X or 2X. For objects in the middle, I use a 4X, and 10X for objects right by the front glass. It really just depends on how far away from your camera the subject is. The filters I talking about are the ones I linked on your new camera thread. $15 and money well spent.

Any zoom lens and the macro filters would probably work. I really don't know what I'm doing. I just play around until I get a good looking picture.

Took a top down shot of my Reef Tech Starburst cap. I never noticed the maroon veins running through it until looking at it from above. I grew this out from a frag that was the size of a fingernail clipping.
