I need to figure out how to use the nikon these phone pictures aren't cutting it!

I'm hoping those diatoms on the sand start to clear up soon. Per the vodka/MB7 dosing regime I should be upping the dosage up to 1.4 mL per day. But I've seen consistent reduction in nitrates while on the 0.9 mL per day dosing schedule. I'm currently at 10 ppm nitrates per last test (Saturday) so I'm going to stay at 0.9 mL until I hit a ~2-5 ppm NO3 and cut to a maintenance dose.

If I recall.. Slow shutter and a stand are your friends but Mai has that down

I almost got the RR applejacks today but was in a hurry at the end and forgot to swing back by and grab it

I've been playing around with the setting and am starting to get the hang of it. I have a tripod, but my cat has some strange vendetta against the tripod legs and makes picture taking very difficult...

Well nitrates seem to be under control at this point, so naturally it's time algae starts popping up?. I'm not sure if I should wait it out with the vodka and skimming, or throw some gfo in.

Anyone have a meety chunk of green birds nest? Looks like my colony isn't going to pull through the troubles I had, and I'd like to replace it. If so let me know size and how much

I emptied my skimmer's cup this weekend and I've already got about a 1/4 cup of thick sludge. I've always run cheap off-brand skimmers and never really thought there'd be much of disconnect between the popular brands and cheaper brands. Granted until two years ago I was a starving college kid, so the nice fancy tech wasn't an option.

I can only imagine what a bible king would do! This RO Diablo XS 160 is seriously making me consider not even using the Vertex Omega 150 I have for my 80 gallon.
