Spring frag swap! 05/18/13 @ the odeum

Only problem is that the club should withhold all sneak peek purchases to make sure the volunteers stick around afterwards to help take down the event. Never a shortage of people that want their freebies, always a shortage of help when it's needed.

Are there going to be tables for frag sellers, or only booths for vendors? :)

Frag sellers can purchase 8' hobbyist tables at $50, while CMAS members can opt to purchase half a table at $25 and share a table if they don't need a full table.

I hope "vendor booth pricing" is not higher as some vendors are nothing more than a hobbyist with a vendor name.... :moil:

Hobbyists will not be purchasing "booths" at the swap. Vendors will be purchasing 10'x10' booth spaces and will be able to advertise in that space. This will allow vendors to have more breathing room for themselves and their buyers to get back out of the foot traffic area of the event. The club is doing what we can to keep costs as low as possible for the vendors and hobbyists while still being able to pay the bill.

I'm hoping this is more spread out then the VFW cause that was super cramped. So many tables i never even attempted to go to becuase there was a crowd of people.

There will be plenty of room to breathe at this event. The membership has been asking for a larger venue, and they are getting what they want this time around.

George can you PM what pricing is going to be? I haven't received the info yet. Gracias.

Looking forward to the larger venue... not looking forward to the extra cost for members to get in. I realize it's only $5, but the whole reason I bought the CMAS membership was to get into the swaps for free.

Yeah just realized that. Thats kinda shatty that we purchased memberships to get into these events for free and now their is an extra $5 charge. I realize it's only $5 but we purchased memberships and it only saves us $5 on the entry fee.

Agreed... makes it a better deal to not be a CMAS member. I will not be purchasing another membership as well.

We discussed at length last night in a conference call about this issue. With this larger venue comes a significantly larger rental fee for the day. This minimal entry fee will contribute directly back to the rental for the day. We realize there would be concern, which is why we agreed to include $5 worth of raffle tickets with entry for card carrying members to help offset that cost.

Yeah pay $20 to save $5 per event. So after 4 events it will have paid for itself. And at that time ur membership will expire which means u need to pay again
