When going to a seller's home...

I wish folks would ask if the should remove their shoes. I'm Asian and shoes in the home are disrespectful. Also, I don't wear my shoes in my house because it's disgusting what is tracked into teh house with shoes. I hate when people assume they can just walk through my estate without offering to take their shoes off.

If I see a pile of shoes at a door, I take off my shoes even if the host says I don't have to. It's a sign or respect and just sanitary.

+1 on the shoes!

When you come to my house you better take your shoes off just watch it with the cat piss, lol but seriously if you see a pile of shoes at the door take your shoes off when you come in, common sense.

+1 to shoes. can't tell you how many people have come and see pile of shoes/slippers at the door and still continue to walk onto the carpet with their shoes on. I have to tell them to go back and take em off.

Most of them are craigslist people though.

Becareful!!! He might fall on top trying to rescue you......

There area lot of times on my days off that Its just my daughter and I so I usually ask if that's ok when going to someones house. If they tell me no than f*ck them, Im not going to try and find a sitter to pick up a fish or equipment. However I understand the frustration of bringing extras unannounced. Now about those strippers and beer :)

I think it should be just common sense you ask someone if you can bring someone else. Even when I go to my best friend's house I ask/announce who I'm bringing so he can plan accordingly whether its cleaning his place to look more presentable or picking up a 24 case instead of a 6 pack. As for the shoes, also common courtesy to take off yo nasties before going inside someone's domain.

BYO ziplocks or expect the seller will provide? I usually bring my own, and have been embarrassed when I forget, but I don't say anything everyone always seems to have them anyway.

Walt, I didn't remove my shoes the last time I was there so I do apologize; especially since I do know better.
