When going to a seller's home...

This was all started because of me, The 4 year old and 1 year old was in the car for 3 hours, and the wife thought it would be nice to let them strech, as i made a trip around Chicago area buying corals, I didnt know it was going to be a big deal to let a 4 year old see your tank, my wife was holding the baby, But my wife took the kids out, After your husband said if your going to let your kids run around i need to shut the doors, lol
sorry no worries wont happen again I just thought this was a hobby kids could enjoy!

And i did ask about shoes just so everybody knows, Man lol guess ill have to start a thread on how rude your husband was,
and im new at buying coral i brought a cooler,
if you would have said hey park down the street and walk up to my house in camo i would have,
since i was buying and you are selling coral everywhere i thought you would have bags , sure funny I didnt have a issue anywhere else
 
What about the sellers with the annoying dogs. If your dog humps or sniffs all up your *** please put that mutt away. It sucks trying to look at corals and your dog is jumping all over you. I love dogs, just not into dogs humping your leg while the owner just stands there quiet.

The only time I have every been irritated is when I had someone come over to buy coral and he brought his wife, kid and their dog. That would have been nice to have a heads up. His kid and dog were running around my house while I am showing him my tank.

Every other time, I don't care if a person brings their wife, girlfriend or child in with them. And every person I have dealt with usually asks if they should take their shoes off.

I do agree that sellers should always have a bag or container if you are selling. I always make sure I have plenty of both.

Great analogy, but I remember way back in the day when my guy would say, "hold out your hand" :rofl:

But, I wouldn't do the same if I was selling coral. I always assume that the seller has the bags. Hell, I've even given people styro cooloers before if they forgot theirs, no biggie to me.

I think you missed the point. You didn't know it'd be a big deal as you didn't let her know first. Most on this thread agree, don't assume just ask.

Seriously? Jeni never said shoes were a problem, actually said shoes are no problem (post#61), then you post this?
 
Alright boys and girls everyone made there case no need to keep this Thread going if it's just going to get stupid Ugly... Hope the Mods do the right thing and just shut this down.

Shoes on or off are a big deal for some people. I always ask. It's a double edged sword.. Luna is right, I've seen people with dirtier socks, than shoes, that I'd rather have had them keep on!

Walt, what if someone is wearing sandals with no socks? You want athletes foot smeared all over your floors? lol
 
We can't shut it down. If we do we'll be called fascists. We have to wait until multiple people break the rules...multiple times...someone will still make a reference to Reef Central, though...

I'm just kidding. Or am I...:lol:
 
I think this thread was informative. It shows that people have different preferences. My takeaway from this thread is that we should always ask if it isnt straight forward.
