I have an MP10es for this build. Would I be better served adding another or upgrading to one mp40?

two mp10w es would be best.

Glad the leak test worked out, don't know how I missed it. Have sun with the two vortechs once the second one arrives, I'm very jealous....

Got cha!... This was my first choice before cracking my 45G trying to drill, never drill around kids cause distraction can cause a CRACK!. Upgraded to the 60G instead since I already had the stand ready for the 45G. Nice build BTW. .. Also in your first post was that a Bonsai Tree you replace your tank with?

yeah the 60 is ideal, but I got this tank/stand for a steal so I couldn't refuse it. Good eye on the Bonsai! That one is a ficus, but I have several that I have been keeping for many years. I love that hobby and I think it is a great segway into reef keeping because it forces ultimate patience.

The y elbow

1.5 inch goes to the front of the skimmer chamber. .75 inch goes to the fuge so I can dial in the flow to both. I think it's missing the last piece of PVC in the picture. It's removeable so I can change socks more easily.

The chip is for my other es to make a w. I don't think I'm going to have any flow issues.

You did it right, I have to go the same route as you... I had 2 WES but sold them off when I was going to break down my 60G

You're the only one I know with 2 MP40 in a 24" tank... That tank is pretty much on steroids with Flow...lol... He but I'm not knocking it...
