Sawdonkey's 220 Thread

I've been getting quite a bit of condensation in my canopy and my LEDs have been getting moist. I thought I should remedy that so I bought this super slick fan. Only about $20 and variable speed. Now I have to cut my canopy and I surely don't have that in me today!

Do you mind letting us know where you picked up that fan? Looks awesome.

If you are not already aware, you need to plan intake and exhaust for it to be effective. Since heat rises, fans on the both ends blowing in with louvered vents in top top is recommended :)

Thanks, there is a small gap in the back of my canopy that will allow push/pull.

Here's a pic of the rock that I added to wrap my overflow. It didn't get me room for more acros becasue I had to move some ones that were being crowded to it:

Palmer's Blue. This in a less-than-ideal spot, so it has been really slow growing. See that little nub on the bottom? That's its first nub in over one year:

Was just scanning this thread to find some pictures of your stand/canopy. Damn this is an awesome tank!

Thanks Ted. Those photos are pretty old. Stuff has grown in quite a bit since then.

I got home from vacation tonight to find my tank in fine shape, but my RMF Psycoberry is just straight up missing. The rock it was glued to is even gone. One of my triggers must have relocated it. I have seriously searched my whole tank and it is nowhere to be found. I'm sure I'll find it some day and it will be dead.

You definitely have my favorite tank around man. Bounced back from the AEFW like a boss and made it 1000000x better. I honestly think this tank might meet Reef Central tank of the month criteria......interested in a nomination?

Thanks Ted but easy on the TOTM talk. Before I'd ever consider something like that I'd want at least 6 more months of growth on my colonies. But yeah, I'm pretty happy with the tank in the last 12 months.

Love seeing updates on your tank.. looks amazing. Are you still running the 4 OR lights?

Thanks, and yes, I'm still using the ORs. I gotta do some work in them this weekend because I only have one fan working per fixture and I want to swap a couple of white LEDs out and replace with blue. OR sent me five fans for $3 each and sent me the computer head for a fixture for $10 (I got one wet). OR customer service is actually really good even though they are located in China.

I'll try to put together a tank video this weekend since I'm around. I've recently taken two vacations with no ill effects to my system. My skimmer overflowed during one trip and I didn't have the patience to tell my girlfriend how to dump it and reset it, so it was off for four days. No problems though.
