Has that office tank been running a while? Or new aswell?

You mentioned that the ttm was a chore. Making new water etc etc.

What i did was used some of my DT water for the QT and adding the new to the DT...
Kinda like a water change but using up the water for the QT
 
The office tank is currently empty but I've got a marinepure block that fully cycled I will throw in there and should be good to go.

Got the office tank running today with some dry rock, sand, piece of live rock and am seeding it with my biomedia and some live sand from my DT. The Multibar trips are scheduled to be shipped Thursday and I can't wait to get them! I'll snap some pictures of the setup tomorrow morning.

I think I'm unfortunately going to end up losing my Scopas. Over the last couple days he's lost almost all appetite and had developed white patches of discoloration on him. I am suspecting flukes. My running theory is that he went into QT with both flukes and velvet. The Ich Shield knocked out the velvet, but now that it's gone the flukes have taken hold. He was up and swimming around normally last night at midnight, but this morning he was laying on his side breathing heavy. He has a noticeable pinched belly.

Pretty bummed on this one. He was such a fat and happy fish, and even with velvet he never skipped a beat.

Well here's the trios new home. The first chamber has ceramic media that was from my DT's sump and some purigen. The big piece of rock (non-branch rock) will come out eventually that's just my seed rock at the moment.

Tested ammonia this morning using my labs Hach DR3900 and got 0.369, which is really just an extrapolated "guess" based on calibration curve since the lower detection level is 0.5 mg/L. I'm sure on a Salifert test it would detect at "0". I'll keep monitoring today and tomorrow. Fish arrive Friday.

Anyone have any suggestions for a small PowerBeats? This will eventually house softies and hopefully a Golden Dwarf Moray pair, but for now just holding for the multibars. AP had a sicce voyager and it was pretty small and compact. Are those any good?

i use a koralia nano (425 gph) in my 10 nuvo and its pretty too much flow ..i think it would suit your tank well especially cause its a long tank ?
 
Ya it's 34" long so I just need something on the end. AP had a sicce voyager (500 ish GPH) so I think I'm going to go with that.

should work but may be a little weak on the other end .. wow didnt think its 33 inches long lol
 
Ya it's long and narrow! Fits perfectly on my desk without compromising work space. I've go the return on one end so if I put it opposite the return it should be all good

Office tank tested at 0 for ammonia and nitrate this morning. Multibars arrive tomorrow.

I have not I'd like to get my hands on a meter and take some readings though. I've been curious. I've got my white channel at 50% and blues at 60% and I'm still getting some bleaching. So I'm going to turn them down even more.
