MCF was a very cool store but it was the employees that made it great. Without Blake, Reed, and everybody else(sorry I'm not good with names) MCF would be just another fish store. When I got the email I was upset but wanted to wish them well because I've always had great experiences. Now hearing of how they treated their employees I retract my well wishes. You do not treat people like that regardless of circumstances. Especially the people that made your business what it was. Karma is a mother ******.
how so wrong of you to say that. the owner never once deviated from trying to create the best place for all of us..there never was previous management..the original staff went off on their own and never saw the company become what it became. whatever you hearded was misinformation...the blogs are so misinformed..i worked with these people they cared more about their customers than any company i have ever done business with and now in their time of suffering its so hard to see them be trashed when so much went into building that business. kind of selfish to hear such mis information when in fact that was not what really happened..
sounds like blake is the only one talking about what happend to the employees...word is he wasnt there when all of this happened and the owners couldnt get him to respond to their emails so they could talk to him and offer him a job under the new company umbrella..so sad to hear all of this gossip when it is not true..ive a feeling the owners will eventually respond to some of this and clear the air..so sad i cant believe what im reading here...im new here..just got on to see what happened to my friends at mcf and im finding it filled with bad information..seems like blake is the spokesperson here..and im guessing he himself doesnt know what truly happened just yet..
I only kept going there because Blake did such a great job representing the store and Reed was great and very knowledgeable at the store. The employees made that place great!

Gary, I did respond to Sara's email. It took a 4 hours but after the cold voicemail I got from Steve it was hard to pull myself together and send a more dignified response to the slap in the face I received this morning. If the owners really wanted to get a hold of me they would have tried calling again if they needed a response so quickly. Don't bullshit me about a job as the emails I read and the words spoken to me explicitly said I was out of a job but you would be happy to supply a reference. No thanks for my 2 and a half years, just a cold informative message. And I was there when this was going down.
