Spartanman's cube

Tried installing my NET module today and that ended with nothing but frustration. I plugged my NET module into my SL2 and it immediately sent the whole system crazy. It seemed like there was a brief power flicker. Everything turned off and turned back on. Then all the PC4s on my RKE disappeared and the Headunit only displayed three question marks. The status light on the NET module was flashing blue. I couldn't get it to show up with the NET Detector application with a wireless application (D-Link wireless gaming adapter) or a hard connection.

I've had so many issues with my RKE that I think I am going to jump ship in the near future. The Archon looked very promising, but I've had so many issues with DA and their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

I added a sea hare to my frag tank and he has decimated the hair algae forest. I can actually see the frags again! So hopefully I can clear out some frags soon.

I plan to frag my toadstool this weekend too and will try to remember to take some pictures along the way.

Tank has been running smoothly. It's nice once things are dialed in and you don't have to be doing stuff everyday. Now I just get to sit back and watch everything grow!

On a side note has anyone used the avast marine swabbie? I'm strongly considering one of these.

Ya it would hopefully then I'd get consistent skim 24/7. I always go through a mini break in each time I clean the cup. I just have to make sure the swabbie will fit on whatever skimmer I intend to upgrade to in the near future. I don't want to be buying two

Well it only took two years but I finally got my net module connected and hooked up. Now I just have to get myreef mobile running then I'll be good to go.

This weekend my nem decided to scare the $#@! out of me and shrivel up, but he was fully open and looking good again today. I've had him for over a year, and I've never seen him do that before. Also, it appears my clowns may be getting ready to spawn. They have been cleaning a spot on the rock next to the anemone over the last couple days. I'm really anxious I've been reefing for almost 9 years and have never had clowns spawn before. So, I'm hoping these guys are the ones to do it!

This will also be the final fish I plan to add. I've always loved dwarf angels and have alot of experience with potters, but I'd like to give the multifasciata a try. Reefwise had two when I was there last, but I promised the fiance that there would be no more fish purchases unless funded by the sale of frags. Apparently she values a wedding over cool new fish...

Well I must say I am quite proud of myself I was able to setuo port forwarding for remote access so that I can access my NET anywhere I have Internet. I am computer illiterate and it required a lot of reading but it is currently working! Now if only the my mobile reef app would work. When I put in the url, username, and password it logs in but then only shows a net module icon. Anyone have this happen to them?

I just went to Beyond the Reef for the first time and it was a nice shop. I felt they were a little pricey on livestock but I really liked that they carried a wide variety of dry goods, and the store is very clean and organized.

Well I've been reluctant to post any recent pictures because my camera phone sucks so much. The first thing I put on our registry was a nikon dslr! Tank has been doing really well lately. It's at the point where I can just sit back and relax.

I go on a 3 week vacation in December so this summer I'll be making a few equipment upgrades in preparation. I'll be adding a swabbie to my skimmer, likely upgrading to the DA Archon, and setting up a foscam for video monitoring.

I went to Aquapros today to get some emerald crabs for a bubble algae problem in my tank, and I came home with a nice surprise! I decided a while ago that I would add a small centropyge multifasciata once I could find a healthy one. I knew they pretty pricey (more than I typically spend on a fish) but thought it'd be worth it since this would be the last fish addition. Well to my surprise aquapros had a small, very active, individual for only $35! I could not believe the price, another reason why Aquapros is so fantastic.

I cat wait to get home from work to get this guy acclimated.

The multibar is currently in the frag tank and doing well. I'll keep him in here until I'm satisfied with his eating habits and have a chance to observe him with coral (much easier to catch in the frag tank vs the display).

Of the three emeralds I got one appears to be a "ruby" which I thought was pretty neat

I know I should be hearing from the company soon to announce my prize...

I can't recall off the top of my head I want to say Omega but I'm not sure. It was quite surprising I almost poured the whole cup in the tank then last second I noticed that thing in there!
